Almost everyone knows The Doors' great song "Break on Through (to the Other Side)," but where is "the Other Side"? My answer to that is the other side is always right here with us, obscured by the false self that separates us--that gossamer "otherness" coating the roles and performances inherited during our conditioning--but an other side always felt nonetheless as an ever present possibility of authentic human connection, of the fullness of true mutual presence.
